Increase in Funding for Preservation Projects

From the National Trust for Historic Preservation:

Not only are the Johanna Favrot Fund and the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Fund now offering up to $15,000 in grant funding, but they are also covering brick-and-mortar projects—a unique feature to these two funds within the National Trust Preservation Funds grant program.

Which Fund is Right for You?

• The Johanna Favrot Fund aims to save historic environments in order to foster an appreciation of our nation's diverse cultural heritage and to preserve and revitalize the livability of the nation's communities.
• The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Fund assists in the preservation, restoration, and interpretation of historic interiors.​

The Details:

• Funding ranges from $2,500 to $15,000. Dollar-to-dollar matching funds are required.
• Funds are awarded for planning activities, education efforts, and restoration, rehabilitation, and stabilization projects.
• Online applications are due March 15. Grantees will receive notification of their approval in July.
• Forum Organizational members and Main Street members of the National Trust for Historic Preservation are eligible.​​​
