You too can be like Frances Benjamin Johnston. Look around your own community for unique structures with interesting architectural details. An old barn, a house that is falling apart, ruins, an old staircase – these are the architectural gems that Johnston searched for and preserved in her photographic surveys.
Take photographs of structures both grand and humble – what Johnston called “primitives.” Send them to PAWV and we will publish them on our website as part of the online exhibit.
