Applications for the Preservation Alliance of West Virginia’s (PAWV) PreserveWV AmeriCorps program are being sought. PAWV is accepting applications for nine full-time and two half-time AmeriCorps members to serve for an 11 ½ – 12 month period with the expected start date of September 30, 2013. This statewide service initiative will promote cultural heritage tourism and enhance historic resource re-use and redevelopment projects in West Virginia. Particular focus will be placed on non-profit capacity building through organizational policy development, volunteer management, and community engagement. AmeriCorps members’ service will contribute to West Virginia’s economic development and environmental stewardship through historic preservation. Members will receive a living stipend and educational award. Service locations include, but are not limited to, Wheeling, Morgantown, Fayetteville, Charleston, and outlying communities.
