ONE FOR ALL, THREE FOR ONE: GIVE NOW TO 3 PRESERVE WV AMERICORPS MATCHES!

6/13/2017

PAWV invites YOU to help 3 preservation nonprofits match their AmeriCorps funding NOW!

What is AmeriCorps and Why are these Matches so Important? As you know, each nonprofit that wants to receive an AmeriCorps member has to raise match money.

AmeriCorps members are essential to these nonprofits being able to do what each of them does. AmeriCorps members manage volunteers and take the lead on historic preservation projects. Their service is irreplaceable and vital.

All donations are processed through the Network for Good webpage and are tax-deductible.

Here’s Where Your Money Will Go!
The Clio Project
Clio connects thousands of online users every day to culture and history through our website and GPS-enabled mobile application. These are free for everyone! We review and improve hundreds of entries submitted by users each month.

This month we are raising a match for two full-time AmeriCorps members plus funding four part-time editors.

Harrison County WV Historical Society
Harrison County Historical Society engages with our West Virginia community in all the ways we are so proud to share in our infographic! Our achievements are the direct result of our Preserve WV AmeriCorps members who manage our archive, provide quality local history programming, preserve our 210 year old headquarters at Vance House, and do our outreach.

If you help us meet our AmeriCorps match, we won’t have to choose between keeping the lights on and keeping up the progress we’ve made!

National Coal Heritage Area
We are one of only 49 national heritage areas and the only one that shares the coal mining heritage of southern West Virginia! Our work and our AmeriCorps workers are spread over 13 counties so we are on the spot assisting small communities telling their story as part of a regional heritage tourism initiative.

Our AmeriCorps members help preserve buildings and artifacts and support our 13 communities’ efforts to preserve their history through training and capacity-building. Help us help our region! Donate so we meet the match for our AmeriCorps members. We couldn’t do it without them–we can’t do it without you!

PAWV appreciates your support of these programs.  As the statewide nonprofit dedicated to historic preservation, we are working hard to build the capacity of sites across our Mountain State through our Preserve WV AmeriCorps program.  We hope you will consider supporting our AmeriCorps site participants.  Each site is unique and contributes so much to preserving cultural resources in our state and attracting heritage tourists.  We need your support to continue their work.  Please donate or share the campaign pages far and wide.  Thank you!
