PLEASE NOTICE:
The location for the upcoming PAWV Awards Banquet has CHANGED to the
Scottish Rite Building instead of the Quarrier Diner! Join us for our Awards Banquet to be held September 23rd. Come celebrate the
recent preservation achievements throughout the state. Tickets are $40 per
person for members or $50 per person for non-members and includes dinner.

Also on Friday, September 23 from 10am to 2:30pm, a
PUBLIC
WORKSHOP will be conducted by craftspeople from the National
Park Service, Historic Preservation Training Center (HPTC),
Frederick Maryland at the state capitol in Charleston. It will
provide a good overview of monument and statuary assessment and best
practices for their maintenance.
- PAWV is hosting another
PRESERVATION TRADES ROAD
SHOW September 24th
at the Kanawha Valley Sustainability Fair! This year’s fair will be
at the Columbia Gas Transmission Building on MacCorkle Avenue, SE
from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the sustainability fair is free.
Experts in historic preservation with extensive knowledge of many
preservation techniques will be available to demonstrate historic
preservation methods as well as address audience member's questions.

PAWV will be hosting a Preservation Trades Road Show at the Morgantown
History Museum on July 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Experts in historic
preservation with extensive knowledge of many preservation techniques will
be available to demonstrate historic preservation methods as well as address

PAWV will be hosting a
“Mobilize Your Board to Raise More Money”
workshop, presented by Andy Robinson. This workshop will be a one day event
from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on August 13 at the Highgate Carriage House

SAVE THE DATE!
The PAWV Awards Banquet has been scheduled for September 23,
2011 at the historic Quarrier Diner in Charleston, newly renovated in time
to host this informative and entertaining program.
The day will also feature historic tours and heritage workshops.

into the Whipple
Store, one of PAWV's 2011 Endangered Sites. No experience is required.
