Preserve America Thematic Trails
Preservation Alliance of West Virginia and the State
Historic Preservation Office are working together to administer a Preserve
America grant of $100,000 with the goal of creating thematic trails to increase
heritage tourism in our state. Our trail projects to date are:
- Historic theaters
- New Deal/CCC sites
We are seeking knowledgeable individuals who can help us
determine the criteria for inclusion of sites in regard to these trails.
Qualified sites will be eligible to apply for $2,000 to $5,000 in mini-grant
funding. We will work with participants to determine how best to market the
trail upon completion.
