West Virginia Cultural Heritage Development
Advisory Panel Will Meet

The next meeting of the WVCHD Advisory Panel will be Wednesday, March 12 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Café Cimino Country Inn in Sutton. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss possible topics and speakers for the CHD track of PAWV’s conference Nov. 6-8. Opportunities to present at other conferences in 2008 will also be explored. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by March 7 to mballman@pawv.org or 304-345-6005.

Grant Applications Being Accepted

The State Historic Preservation Office of the West Virginia Division of Culture and History is now accepting applications for historic preservation development grants. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2008. Approximately $400,000 of grant awards will be available to projects that include restoration, rehabilitation or archaeological development of historic sites listed in the State or National Register of Historic Places.
