National Trust for Historic Preservation

The National Trust for Historic Preservation is a privately funded non-profit organization that provides leadership, education and advocacy to save America's diverse historic places and revitalize our communities.

The Southern Field Office of the National Trust for Historic Preservation provides information, advice, and support in response to inquiries from our membership, preservation organizations, governmental agencies, and the public in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

 

Vandalia Heritage Foundation

Created in 1998, the Vandalia Heritage Foundation (VHF) works to promote historic preservation and redevelopment in West Virginia communities throughout northern West Virginia.  Vandalia's mission of preserving the past to improve the future focuses on economic revitalization in the context of historic preservation. Vandalia's goal is carried out through redevelopment initiatives that restore and reuse these structures, ultimately creating sites for local business development and reuse of aging housing stock.
